Minimalism & Money - How I Manage Minimalism In My Financial Journey

September 20, 2021

I have always been passionate about minimalism and it's benefits. Minimalism gives me clarity, purpose and direction in a way that improves my mental health, gives me greater energy and even helps my relationship with Tom. And this is on top of helping me navigate my financial journey towards financial freedom. In this podcast I share exactly what I do to live like a minimalist financially. And this isn't about being frugal but actually having balance and less to worry about. Which frees me up to focus on building what I value. Lots of great tips here for you.

So listen to me open up and share how I do minimalism and money, how I started and the habits, hacks and steps that I follow religiously.

Staying Rooted In The Storm: My Daily Small Investments To Manage My Mental Demons

Staying Rooted In The Storm: My Daily Small Investments To Manage My Mental Demons

September 6, 2021

This podcast is a truly personal one, where I let my guard down and pull the curtain back on my struggles and how I have overcome them!.

Although this episode was difficult for me to put into words, after reflecting on my life and the difficulties our global landscape is facing, I felt compelled to share the daily simplicities that have recently allowed me to manage and maintain my mental health. It's an uphill battle, but if we don't look after ourselves mentally, how are we able to effectively achieve our larger goals?

You're going to hear the specific areas where I invested in for my daily life, to improve my mental health and my personal tips to rise above challenges, such as post-natal depression and the COVID lockdown. I hope this podcast offers some light and hope, if you are going through dark times. Remember: tough times will pass, but there are practical & simple tips we can implement to soften the pain and build back stronger than ever!

We are all human and it's okay to not be okay. Behind our glossy exteriors, each of us have our own struggles. Don't ever be afraid to ask for help and remember to appreciate life's simple pleasures (it can help you more than you would know!).

Michelle built a $500,000 share portfolio with a salary of under $31,000

August 16, 2021

In this laugh-out-loud podcast, one of my favourite investing wizards, Michelle, reveals how she built a portfolio worth over half-a-million, all on a humble salary.

However, behind the gloss, it wasn't always smooth sailing. Michelle was initially discouraged by people to enter the 'risky' stock market (they didn't believe in her), but she defied people's opinions and skyrocketed her way to financial success.

Here, she reveals the powerful money lessons her mother instilled in her, the side hustles she pursued and the saving & investing strategies that saw her achieve a net worth higher than people on 6-figure salaries.

Neelam’s Disney fairytale turned into a living nightmare: How she rebuilt her life after financial and physical abuse

August 2, 2021

Neelam was living a life of luxury, with a price charming she called "straight out of a Hollywood movie". But this facade came crashing down, after she moved to Australia to marry him. The romantic and extravagant gestures were all made possible through spiralling debt. Neelam was forced to work multiple jobs to make ends meet, but her husband was not appreciative. He became physically and financially abusive: controlling her every move, restraining her from achieving her goals and viciously insulting her. Eventually her husband became so violent, the police asked her to leave the house and never return. With no family in Australia, Neelam implemented a few savvy tricks before her escape that made the journey less arduous.

This is a story of perseverance and determination in the face of serious struggles. For the first time, Neelam reveals how she rebuilt her life and achieved financial independence and security.

So you are going to hear how a financial expert made a massive money mistake last week...well actually two mistakes. I hope that my stuff up helps you avoid making the same or similar error as what I did. Or listening to how I am fixing this and taking responsibility helps you deal with any mistakes or set backs you experience. We are all human, we make mistakes, but the important thing is that we learn and grow, becoming smarter and hopefully wiser. So hopefully in me sharing this with you, it helps you become better with your money.
